Beware of recent scams!

Cell Phone Phishing

On March 26, thousands of Gulf coast residents received the following fraudulent cell phone text message: “Your NCUA account is closed due to unusual activity, call us immediately at 8183928413.” If you received such a text, DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS MESSAGE.
If you receive a message such as this, be sure to only call Navigator Credit Union’s official phone numbers. Never use the number provided. If you have responded and called the number in the message and provided account information, please call Navigator Credit Union at one of our officially published numbers: 228-475-7300 or 1-800-344-3281.

Fraudulent Email

During the last few weeks, phone and email scams have also asked individuals to go to a website or call a 1-800 number to update your personal information. We ask that you avoid responding to ANY unsolicited requests for personal information such as Routing, Account and PIN numbers. Navigator will never ask you to provide, update or confirm sensitive information by email.
For your security, we encourage you to closely guard this information and only provide your account information when you are initiating payment with a trusted source.

Important Reminder

As your financial institution, we guard your personal information with the highest level of security. If you are ever targeted by a scam artist, please remember that Navigator will never share your information with an outside source. There are a number of methods used by scam artists to obtain phone number and email lists, but at no time will Navigator Credit Union ever compromise or divulge your personal information.
